I think it’d be so great to have a post/series on how to fill/style awkward spaces — like “you have a weird bit of trapped narrow space between two walls” or “you have an empty corner where you can’t hang anything on the wall”… I don’t know exactly… but just the idea of grouping little decorative props by size/shape/heavinessvs.lightness, as in little “style props for specific design problems/spaces.” For me, specifically, I’m trying to find an oval tray and some short stuff to fill it with as a centrepiece for our dining room table (something that can stay there and not interfere with conversation), and keep getting stymied. And, we also have a really long hall wall, but with a bulk head running the entire length (so it’s unusually short), plus it goes from being a hall to the wall of a room… and I also keep getting stymied about how to break it up.
The Noguchi table became one of Herman Miller's most iconic and successful designs. Production ceased in 1973, and the piece became an instant collectible. Herman Miller reissued it in 1980 in a limited edition of about 480 tables. The table was reintroduced again in 1984 for the "Herman Miller Classics" line, and has been in production ever since.
Used coffee grounds may be used for composting or as a mulch. They are especially appreciated by worms and acid-loving plants such as blueberries. Some commercial coffee shops run initiatives to make better use of these grounds, including Starbucks' "Grounds for your Garden" project, and community sponsored initiatives such as "Ground to Ground".

Work tables were small tables designed to hold sewing materials and implements, providing a convenient work place for women who sewed. They appeared during the 18th century and were popular throughout the 19th century. Most examples have rectangular tops, sometimes with folding leaves, and usually one or more drawers fitted with partitions. Early examples typically have four legs, often standing on casters, while later examples sometimes have turned columns or other forms of support.
Over the past few years I’ve just come to expect my online orders to be screwed up somehow, however, One Day Glass came through with 100% accuracy. I ordered three shelves to replace the ones that I somehow lost in a move. They could not have looked or fit better. PERFECTION, is the word I would use in all aspects of this order. The price was excellent, the online custom order form was easy to follow, the delivery time was less than one week, and three of my pieces were safely packed and in mint condition when I pulled them out of the box. I couldn’t be happier with my experience, and will be recommending you to anyone looking for custom glass services. Anyone who works there obviously takes a lot of pride in what they do. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU! For service above and beyond the norm.
Notes on this table; I did note that through other sellers it's different so be sure you do as this seller says in their details and buy from them as I guess they're the original seller (from what Ive read when researching this table) and as such they have the table you'll want if you're wanting tempered glass and the look of this one. From what I read some of the knock off sellers difffernces included not getting tempered glass (this one does have it) and the glass bottom is different colors like black or darkened glass. This one is clear top glass and bottom frosted glass. The pics seem to show clear top and bottom but it's not but I like ... full review
A square shape makes the Bernhardt Merrill Square Metal Cocktail Table a natural pairing for your sectional sofa. It's crowned by thick, clear tempered glass that allows you to see the open, geometric leg base from all angles. The glass has notched details to accommodate the canted corners on this coffee table. The stainless steel framework is polished to high shine, adding a glamorous touch. For a cohesive living room, search out companion pieces in the Merrill line.
Motorists driving through Medford, Massachusetts may notice something unusual on the street outside Brooks Elementary School. On April 22, the city installed a new pedestrian crosswalk painted to look like 3D objects raised from the ground. The new crossing path aims to make the intersection safer, and it's one of several set to debut around Medford, Curbed reports.
Is seating ensemble feeling empty? Try a coffee table! Not only do they anchor your space, but they offer room to stage a display and serve up trays of treats when you find yourself entertaining. This one, for example: with its simple design and clean lines, provides a space to display magazines, hold your drinks, or keep your remote handy. A lower shelf is available for more display space.
Setting up bluetooth communication between a smartphone and the Arduino proved surprisingly tricky but there are a few simple steps that will make this much easier. Firstly, you will need to download an app for your smartphone. I used https://play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.... but there is probably an iphone equivalent (that you have to pay for ;p )
11 of copies of both parts need to be laser cut out of 3mm plywood and then assemble them to make sure they fit correctly. Once you are happy, take the matrix apart again and spray it white to improve the reflective characteristics of the table. When dry put them back together again and place them over the LEDs. It might be a bit harder to fit them together after spraying as they are now a bit thicker but don't worry just gently tap them into place before you put the matrix into the table.
The degree of roast has an effect upon coffee flavor and body. Darker roasts are generally bolder because they have less fiber content and a more sugary flavor. Lighter roasts have a more complex and therefore perceived stronger flavor from aromatic oils and acids otherwise destroyed by longer roasting times. Roasting does not alter the amount of caffeine in the bean, but does give less caffeine when the beans are measured by volume because the beans expand during roasting.
Is there anything worse than a cluttered living room? We all want our living space to feel open and breathable, which doesn’t mean we don’t want it to be cozy! What may seem like mission impossible can easily be conquered with the addition of a transparent coffee table that doesn’t clutter the room but opens it up and instantly makes it feel bigger!
I just wanted to drop you a note of thanks for the great job you did for me. I had an emergency need for some tempered glass and all local sources indicated that it would be 7-10 days for delivery. While searching the internet, I came across your company and immediately made the call. Your representative immediately took my info and order and said I would have my items by 10:30 the next morning. I was amazed to find them here by 9:30, cut to the correct size and complete. Your service is amazing. Please accept my congratulations and thanks for a job well done. I only wish you could bottle it so it was more readily available to the rest of the manufacturing world.
I then had a few LEDs left over so I connected them up to an Arduino UNO I had to test if they worked (you can use the Mega mentioned in the project outline too). To do this I cut and stripped some male to male headers and soldered them to the pads on the end of the LED strip. On the WS2812 strip I used the 5V wire is red, ground is white and data is green. Make sure you pay attention to the directional arrow printed on the WS2812B strip so that you don't try and send data in the wrong direction. I connected the 5V line to 5V on the Arduino, Ground to GND and Data to pin 6 with a 1k resistor in series. Bare in mind that the Fritzing schematic of the WS2812B LEDs is slightly different to the ones I had delivered - suffice to say, just make sure data is connected to pin 6, Gnd is connected to ground and 5 is connected to 5V.
I met a flower child friend of friends in the early seventies who worked for a year or two as a call girl in hollywood. One of her gigs was to be naked in a bathtub in the Capitol Record building at a party spraying water on her clitoris and pretending she was getting off to add to the party atmosphere. She said she had Danny Thomas as a client for awhile - he wanted to be called "Danello". His thing was that she was to leave a glass of orange juice on the counter in the kitchen and her door unlocked at a certain time. He would come in and drink the orange juice, then she would come out from another room and "discover" him and be angry as though he was a bad child. The whole routine would end up with him literally kissing her ass on the couch.

Accordingly, determine how large your sheet of glass needs to be. You won't cut the two short edges of the glass (the less you cut the glass the less likely you are to shatter it, so limit your cuts to the two curved edges). Since you don't cut the two short edges (i.e. the edges that will align with the square ends of your table), you immediately know how LONG the glass needs to be. Next figure out how wide the glass needs to be. You want there to be enough overlap for the profile you're going to cut so that you have some room to work with. Since you'll be using the off-cut glass later as a template for your routing, it's important to make sure that there will be a reasonable amount left.
But wait! This is a water-based finish, and walnut grain has a tendency to raise up when it becomes moist. So apply a fine mist of water to the wood surfaces you want to finish with a spray bottle. Wait 15 minutes and feel the wood. Chances are it won't feel smooth anymore. The wood grain became moist, expanded, and raised up out of the surface. If you sand the surface again now, you'll sand off the grain that raised up, and there shouldn't be any more grain to raise up when the wood gets wet! To be safe, wait until the wood dries, and repeat this process. There shouldn't be much grain which rises up, and the surface should be smooth after this step.

She wanted something more traditional. I started by looking for a reasonably priced table leg. The one I found was from Van Dyke’s Restorers. They have tons of shapes and sizes. It was on sale, around $16 each plus some shipping. I sketched up a square table per her request. The table would be 42” wide, 42” long and 18 ¾” tall. (the sketch originally had a 15” leg but it did not suit her). I attempted to use stock wood for all the components to keep it simple, on time and on budget.
