What to do with an old glass coffee table
Glass coffee tables are generally easy to move around and make a good choice for a dining room centerpiece or living room accent piece. However, when it’s time for a new look or when the coffee table no longer fits its surroundings, what can one do with the old glass coffee table? Here are some ideas:
Reuse it elsewhere
The coffee table can be moved to another part of the house if suitable. A glass coffee table often fits well in many other places.
Upcycle it
A glass coffee table doesn’t have to look like a conventional coffee table. It can be used as a display case or even a dining table. With some creativity, it can be upcycled into something completely new.
Sell or donate it
If the coffee table is in good condition, it can be sold at yard or garage sales or donated to charitable organizations.
Repurpose it
Another option is to repurpose the old glass coffee table. Ideas include turning it into:
- A bookshelf
- A vanity
- A bar
- Bedside table
Recycle it
If none of the above options is suitable, the glass coffee table can be recycled and given a new life. Glass is 100% recyclable and will not produce any waste.
No matter what you do, don’t discard the old glass coffee table. It can be reused, repurposed, upcycled, sold or donated for someone else’s use.
