How to Wax a Pine Coffee Table
A waxed pine coffee table looks both classic and rustic, and adds a lot to the atmosphere of your home. Here are the steps for waxing your own pine coffee table.
Step 1: Gather Supplies
Before beginning, make sure that you have the tools and supplies you need to complete the job:
- Degreasing cleaner
- Soft cloths
- Water and a bucket
- Mild soapy water
- Pine wax
- Rubber gloves
- Soft paintbrush
Step 2: Clean the Table
Begin by cleaning the table with a degreasing cleaner. Make sure that you use rubber gloves, and follow the manufacturer’s instructions. Use a soft cloth to wipe down the surface of the table.
Step 3: Rinse
Next, rinse the table with a bucket of clean water. Wipe the surface of the table with a damp cloth and then dry it with a soft dry cloth.
Step 4: Wax
Once the table is clean, it is time to wax it. Apply the pine wax with a soft paintbrush, making sure to get into all of the hard-to-reach places. Allow the wax to dry for at least 30 minutes and then buff it with a soft cloth.
Step 5: Finish
When the wax is dry and buffed, the pine coffee table is ready to use. You will be left with a classic and rustic piece of furniture that adds a lot of charm to your home.
It is important to remember to follow all of the manufacturer’s instructions when using any products, and to use proper safety precautions with any cleaning supplies.
