How to Use a Glass Coffee Pot
Using a glass coffee pot is a great way to make delicious cups of coffee. While they come in a variety of shapes and sizes, using one is relatively straightforward. Here is how to use a glass coffee pot and enjoy a cup of freshly-brewed joe.
What You Will Need
- Glass coffee pot
- Coffee filter
- Ground coffee
Step 1: Prepare Your Pot
If your glass coffee pot does not come with a built-in filter, you will need to line the inside with one before adding any coffee grounds. Once the filter is in place, add your preferred amount of coarsely ground coffee to the filter.
Step 2: Fill with Water
Bring cold water to a boil on the stove, then carefully pour it over the grounds in the filter. You can experiment with varying amounts of water in the pot depending on how strong or weak you want your coffee.
Step 3: Place Pot on Stove
Place the glass coffee pot on the stove and turn the heat up to medium-high. Allow the pot to heat until the coffee starts to pour out of the spout. Once the coffee begins to pour out, reduce the heat to low.
Step 4: Serve and Enjoy!
Remove the pot from the heat and pour your freshly brewed coffee into cups. Add cream, sugar, or other flavorings to your desired taste and enjoy!
