How to Use a Glass Coffee Maker
Having a glass coffee maker is a great way to make a high-quality cup of coffee. However, many people find them a bit intimidating to use. Here are instructions on how to use a glass coffee maker to get a great cup of coffee.
Before you can make your coffee, you will need to gather the following supplies:
- A glass coffee maker
- Ground coffee
- Sweetener and creamer if desired
- Mug to drink from
Step 1: Fill the Lower Chamber
The first step in using a glass coffee maker is to fill the lower chamber of the coffeepot with cold water. Make sure to use only clean, filtered water to get the best cup of coffee.
Step 2: Place the Filter
The next step is to put the filter into the top chamber of the coffee maker. You can use a paper filter or a reusable filter. If you are using a reusable filter, make sure to rinse it with clean water before use.
Step 3: Add the Coffee
Now that the filter is in place, you can add the ground coffee. Add around 1 tablespoon of ground coffee for every 8 ounces of water.
Step 4: Place the Top Chamber
Put the top chamber on the lower chamber and make sure it is securely in place.
Step 5: Place the Coffee Maker on the Stove
You can now place the coffee maker on the stove over medium heat and wait for the coffee to start percolating.
Step 6: Serve
Once the coffee has finished percolating, turn off the stove and pour the coffee into your mug. Add sweetener, milk, or cream if desired. Enjoy your fresh cup of coffee!
- Do not overfill the coffee maker as it may cause it to overflow.
- Do not leave coffee in the pot for too long as it can become bitter.
