Using an Old Glass Coffee Percolator
Things you will need:
- Coffee grounds
- Water
- Steel wool
- Paper towels
- Measuring cup
- Baking soda
Instructions
Step 1: Fill the bottom chamber of the percolator with cold water up to about one-third full.
Step 2: Add 1/4 cup of coffee grounds for each one cup of water used.
Step 3: Scrub the pot with steel wool and hot water to remove residue from previous uses.
Step 4: Place the percolator over medium heat and wait for it to start percolating.
Step 5: Let the coffee percolate for 5-10 minutes.
Step 6: Remove the pot from the heat and let it sit for 5 minutes.
Step 7: Once the coffee has finished percolating, remove the top chamber.
Step 8: Discard the grounds from the top chamber.
Step 9: Clean the pot with hot water and baking soda.
Step 10: Dry the pot with paper towels and enjoy your coffee!
