How to Refurbish a Glass Coffee Table
Glass coffee tables are beautiful pieces of furniture and when they break, it can be quite a shame. However, seeing that glass is brittle, it does not mean that you have to replace your glass coffee table with a new one. With a little bit of work, refurbishing a glass coffee table is a simple process.
Materials Needed
- Glass cleaner
- Paper towels
- Glass adhesive
- New glass
Steps
- Clean the Table – Start by cleaning the table thoroughly with a glass cleaner and paper towels. This will help you inspect the table and identify any cracks, chips or other damages.
- Remove the Glass – Carefully remove the glass from the table. If the glass is loose, then you can simply lift it up but if it’s not, you might need a flathead screwdriver to pry it open.
- Replace the Glass – Measure the size of the new glass and cut it accordingly. After that, you’ll need to apply the adhesive according to the instructions. Place the new piece of glass in the exact same spot of the old one and let it dry for about 24 hours.
- Voila! – After letting the adhesive dry, you are ready to start using your newly refurbished glass coffee table.
Doing a DIY refurbishing your glass coffee table is a great way to save time, money and effort. Not to mention that you can also proudly say that you made your furniture look brand new.
