How to Package a Coffee Table
Packing and transporting a coffee table can be challenging, but with the right knowledge and preparation it can be done securely and safely. Here is a step-by-step guide on how to package a coffee table for moving.
Required Materials
- Small-size box
- Clean wrapping paper
- Foam/bubble wrap
- Packing tape
- Scissors
1. Prepare the coffee table for packing
- Remove the legs from the coffee table, if possible.
- Wipe dust and dirt from the surface of the coffee table with a damp cloth.
- Make sure all screws are removed from the legs.
- Keep all screws in a labeled bag for easy retrieval and reassembly.
2. Wrap the table top, legs and removable components
- Wrap the table top with clean wrapping paper, covering all sides.
- Wrap the individual legs and removable components of the table with clean wrapping paper.
- Secure the wrapping paper to the table top and legs using packing tape.
- To cushion the corners, apply a few layers of foam/bubble wrap.
3. Pack the table

4. Transport the coffee table
- Use a flat hand trolley or a cart to move the coffee table box.
- Check that the box is secure and tightly fastened.
- Carefully transport the coffee table to its new location.
