How to Pack a Glass Coffee Table
Packing a glass coffee table can seem intimidating and daunting, but it’s not as difficult as it seems. With the right materials and careful attention, you can pack your table securely and safely for transport.
Things you’ll need:
- Strong Cardboard
- Bubble Wrap
- Packing Tape
- Cardboard Sheets and Filling Material for Cushioning
Step 1: Preparing the Table
Place the glass table down onto the cardboard and trace the outline with a marker. Cut the outline out, then use the piece of cardboard as the base to provide support when the table is transported. Place this piece on top of the bubble wrap, then tightly wrap the table in the bubble wrap. Secure the wrap with tape.
Step 2: Sealing the Box
Cut large pieces of cardboard to match the size of the tabletop. Fit the cardboard snugly over the top of the wrapped table, then tape the edges. Place the desk top into the box, then fill the extra space with cardboard sheets and foam cellulose material to cushion the glass in the box.
Step 3: Final Steps for Packing
Close the box and tape the edges with packing tape, making sure you secure the box to prevent movement during transport. Add additional tape to reinforce the box. Label the box clearly with “Fragile” and “Handle with Care.”
Following these steps will help you securely and safely pack your glass coffee table. With the right materials and attention to detail, you can ensure your table arrives intact and without damage.
