Materials

  • Wooden boards (2-inch square 12 inches long)
  • Table saw (Optional)
  • Hand saw
  • Chisel
  • Drill set (screwdriver, hammers, drill)
  • Metal screws (to secure legs)
  • Screwdriver

Instructions

  1. Measure and cut the wooden boards.
  2. Drill 2.5” holes into the bottom of each leg (4 total).
  3. Using a table saw, cut wooden boards on a 45° angle.
  4. Using a chisel and hand saw, trim the edges of the legs to preferred shape.
  5. Secure legs to bottom of the coffee table using metal screws.

Tips

  • Make sure the wood you use is sanded and free of splinters before use.
  • If you don’t own a table saw, you can use a hand saw for cutting the pieces.
  • Drill pilot holes in the furniture to avoid splitting the wood when screwing in the screws.
