Making a Photo Covered Coffee Table

Making a custom coffee table is an easy and stylish way to personalize your home or office. A photo covered coffee table is a great way to create a unique piece of furniture that doubles as a conversation starter and makes a statement. Here’s a step-by-step guide to making your own.

  • Coffee table, preferably with a flat, smooth surface
  • Roll of single-sided contact paper
  • Favorite photo, preferably printed on standard size paper
  • Utility knife
  • Precision knife blade
  • Measuring tape

  1. Choose your favorite photo and make sure it’s printed on standard size paper. Measure the length and width of the photo.
  2. Measure the length and width of your coffee table. You’ll want your photo to completely cover the top of the coffee table, so add an extra inch to the length and width to make sure there’s enough coverage.
  3. Using your utility knife, cut the contact paper to the size you measured in step 2.
  4. Carefully peel the backing off the contact paper, then place the contact paper adhesive-side-up on the table.
  5. Place your photo face-down on the contact paper and have it cover the entire area.
  6. Using your precision knife blade, carefully cut out any extra contact paper around the edges of the photo.
  7. Smooth out any bumps or air pockets, then you’re done!

Finishing T ouches

Once you’ve covered your coffee table with your favorite photo, don’t forget to add some decorative touches. You can place some candles, frames, plants, or other items on top to give the table a more finished look. Now it’s time to enjoy your newly created photo-covered coffee table!
