How to Make a Log Coffee Table
Creating a log coffee table is a great way to show off your woodworking skills and add something beautiful to your home. It’s relatively easy to make and won’t take too much time to complete. The following steps will guide you through the process of creating your own log coffee table.
Gather Your Materials
You’ll need:
- A log – preferably an untreated one
- Four table legs
- Wood stain or paint
- Screws, nails, or bolts
- A saw or ax (Be careful when using these tools!)
Cut the Log to Size
Measure the log and mark where you want to cut it. If you have access to a saw, use it to make the cut. If not, an ax can be used, just be very careful. Once the log is cut to the desired size, sand the edges to make them smoother.
Stain or Paint
If you’re using a stain, follow the instructions on the package for the best results. If you choose to use paint, make sure you use a brush specifically designed for use with wood.
Attach the Legs
Using screws, nails, or bolts, attach the table legs to the bottom of the log. Make sure the legs are sturdy and won’t wobble when in use.
Enjoy!
Once you’ve assembled your log coffee table, you can sit back and enjoy it! Make sure you keep it clean and free of dirt and dust, and it will last for years.
