Tips on How to Get Stickers Off Your Coffee Table
Stickers can be a fun way to decorate your coffee table, but when it’s time to take them off, it can be difficult to do so without damaging the surface. Follow these helpful tips to safely get your stickers off your coffee table:
Using Heat and Soap
- Gather Supplies: You’ll need some warm water, a bowl or bucket, a few drops of mild liquid dish soap and a clean cloth.
- Heat The Sticker: Hold a hair dryer set to a low-heat setting and blow warm air onto the sticker until it begins to peel away from the surface.
- Soak The Remaining Sticker: Once the sticker has been loosened, place a cloth in the bowl of warm water and soap. Place the cloth over the sticker and allow it to sit for a few minutes.
- Remove the Sticker: After soaking, slowly peel back the sticker and any remaining residue. If there’s still some residue, dip the cloth in the water and use it to scrub away the remainder.
- Wash the Area: Use a damp cloth and warm water to rinse the area and get rid of excess soap.
- Dry the Area: Use a dry cloth to completely dry the area that the sticker was on.
Using Oil
- Gather Supplies: You’ll need olive oil, a cloth and a putty knife.
- Apply Oil: Soak a cloth with a small amount of oil and place it over the sticker. This will help to loosen the adhesive and make it easier to remove.
- Scrape The Remaining Sticker: Use a putty knife or other flat tool to carefully scrape away the sticker and any residual adhesive.
- Wash the Area: Use a damp cloth and warm water to rinse the area and get rid of excess oil.
- Dry the Area: Use a dry cloth to completely dry the area that the sticker was on.
By following these steps, you can safely and easily get stickers off of your coffee table without scratching or damaging the surface.
