how to get coffee stains out of glass coffee pot

Remove Coffee Stains From a Glass Coffee Pot

Accidentally spilling coffee on your glass coffee pot is an all too familiar oops moment? Learn how to remove these pesky coffee stains with the following easy steps:

Make A Cleaning Solution

  • Mix one part white vinegar with two parts water in a container.
  • Stir the mixture to create a cleaning solution.

Soak The Coffee Pot

  • Place the stained coffee pot in the solution and allow to soak for 15-60 minutes.
  • Use a non-abrasive scrubbing pad when agitating the surface of the coffee pot to remove stains.

Rinse And Dry The Coffee Pot

  • When done scrubbing, completely rinse the coffee pot with cool water.
  • Be sure to rinse thoroughly as vinegar can leave a sour taste if not removed.
  • Pat the coffee pot dry with a clean kitchen towel.

Repeat As Needed

If coffee stains remain after the initial soaking, always test a small section of the pot on the inside of the pot before repeating the process. Once all signs of coffee stains are gone, go ahead and boil some water in it and enjoy a cup of coffee!
