How to fix a Wobbly Coffee Table
Every coffee table will eventually become wobbly at some point, but there are a few easy solutions you can use to get your coffee table steady again.
Step 1: Adjust the table feet
Most coffee tables come with adjustable feet that can be adjusted by turning them in the desired direction. Look to see if the feet on the wobbly corner of the table are standing higher than the rest. If so, turn the foot counter clockwise to lower the height.
Step 2: Get Shims
If the table feet cannot be adjusted, try using shims to level out the table (a shim is a thin, wedge-shaped piece of wood). Place one or more shims between the legs and the floor to support any uneven areas.
Step 3: Glue the Joints
If the table is still not stable enough, you can glue the joints of the table. This is a great solution for wobbly tables since it will permanently secure the joints in place and make the table stable.
Tools you need:
- Screwdriver: Used to adjust the table feet.
- Shims: Used to level the wobbly table.
- Wood Glue: Used to secure the joint of the table.
These 3 easy steps can help you fix a wobbly coffee table in no time. Follow the instructions, and be sure to use the right tools for the job.
