It’s easy to give your living room a unique touch with your own topographic epoxy coffee table. This style of table is sure to be the talk of the town. Here’s how to create one.
Step 1: Gather Your Materials
You will need the following materials to create your topographic epoxy coffee table:
- A coffee table
- Wood glue
- Epoxy resin
- Topographical map
- Painter’s tape
- Masking paper
- Sandpaper
- Sealant
Step 2: Prepare the Table
Start by applying a thin layer of wood glue to the top of the table. Allow the glue to dry completely. Once dry, sand the top of the table to create a smooth surface.
Step 3: Apply the Map
Cut the map to fit over the top of the table. Apply painter’s tape to the edges of the map and use masking paper to cover any parts of the table that are not covered by the map.
Step 4: Pour the Epoxy
Mix the epoxy resin according to the package instructions. Pour the epoxy over the map and allow it to cure. Once the epoxy has cured, remove the painter’s tape and masking paper.
Step 5: Apply the Sealant
Finally apply a sealant to the top of the table to protect the epoxy from scratches and damage.
And Voila!
