How To Cover an Ugly Coffee Table
Looking to update your living space without breaking the bank? An easy way to add a refreshing touch to the room is by covering an ugly coffee table. Here are the steps to get a new look.
Step 1: Choose a Cover
The first step is to select the fabric. You’ll want to look for something of a medium weight canvas, as it is durable and easy to work with. Keep in mind that this fabric will be the center of attention so make sure the colors, textures and patterns go well with the room.
Step 2: Cut the Fabric to Size
Cut the fabric to the perfect size. Make sure to leave two to four inches of extra fabric on each side, as this will be used to cover the underside of the table.
Step 3: Use Spray Adhesive
Use spray adhesive to stick the fabric to the table top. Use a damp cloth to remove any excess glue.
Step 4: Attach to the Sides of the Table
Fold the fabric over and staple it to the sides of the table. If you don’t have a staple gun, you can use glue or pins to secure the fabric.
Step 5: Add Finishing Touches
To complete the look, add some ribbon or trim around the edges of the table. This will give the table a finished look and hide any of the raw edges on the fabric.
With just a few supplies and a small time commitment, you can easily give your living space a face lift. Here are the supplies you will need:
- Spray Adhesive
- Staple Gun
- Trim (Optional)
By following these simple steps, you can give your coffee table a whole new look. Good luck with the project!
