How to Clean Inside a Glass Coffee Carafe
A carafe is a glass vessel used to contain and serve hot beverages, such as coffee. Because the carafe is often exposed to hot liquid, it can become stained and discolored over time. Luckily, cleaning the inside of a glass coffee carafe is simple!
Tools Needed
- White vinegar
- Salt
- Dish scrubbers or soft bristly brush
Steps:
- Remove coffee grounds and any sediment in the carafe. Wash carafe with cover on top with water and soap.
- Add 1/3 cup white vinegar and 1 teaspoon of salt to the carafe.
- Swirl the contents of the carafe for a few minutes.
- Use a dish scrubber or soft bristly brush to scrub inside surface of the carafe.
- Rinse the carafe with clean water.
- Finish by washing the carafe with soap and water again.
