How to Clean a Stained Glass Coffee Pot
Stained glass coffee pots can be beautiful and elegant, but over time they can become stained and tarnished. Luckily, it’s easy to clean your stained glass coffee pot to make it look like new!
What You’ll Need:
- Clean rags
- Mild dishwashing soap
- Baking soda
- Warm water
Step 1: Prepare the Area
Before you begin cleaning your stained glass coffee pot, it’s important to protect your work area by laying down old newspapers or towels.
Step 2: Clean the Pot
Once your work area is prepared, it’s time to get to work. Start by washing the pot with mild dishwashing soap, warm water and a soft rag. Scrub away any visible dirt and debris, using a brush if necessary.
Step 3: Treat Stains with Baking Soda
If your stained glass coffee pot has more stubborn staining, you can use baking soda to help lift out tough marks. Mix a few tablespoons of baking soda with some warm water. Next, dip your rag into the mixture, then rub it over the stained parts of the pot. Let the mixture sit for a few minutes before wiping it off with a damp rag.
Step 4: Rinse & Dry
Once you’ve finished cleaning your stained glass coffee pot, thoroughly rinse it off with warm water until all of the soap and baking soda has been removed. Then, dry the pot with a clean rag or let it air dry.
Your stained glass coffee pot is now clean and ready to use! Cleaning your pot regularly will help ensure that it will last for years to come.
