How to Clean Glass Coffee Cups
Glass coffee cups are a classic addition to any kitchen and can provide an elegant solution to your hot or cold beverage needs. But regular use and lack of care can leave them looking cloudy and stained. Fortunately, deep-cleaning your glass cups is quite simple. Here’s how to do it:
Things You’ll Need:
- Glass cups
- White vinegar
- Baking soda
- Soft cloths or sponges
- Old toothbrush for scrubbing
- Paper towel
Step 1: Remove Excess Dirt
Start the cleaning process by removing any excess dirt or film that may have built up on the surface. Use warm water and a soft cloth to rinse off the glass cups. If necessary, use a bit of soap and a sponge to scrub off any areas with more stubborn buildup.
Step 2: Use Vinegar and Baking Soda
Mix ¼ cup of white vinegar with ¼ cup of baking soda. Fill your glass cups with the mixture and let them sit for about 15 minutes. The combination of vinegar and baking soda will help to break down any residue and remove any hard-to-clean areas. After 15 minutes, scrub the insides of your cups with an old toothbrush to ensure that all residue is removed.
Step 3: Rinse and Dry
Once the entire cup is cleaned, rinse the glasses with warm water and a soft cloth. Make sure to dry them completely before storing. If you want to prevent future buildup, place a bit of paper towel in each cup before putting them away.
