How to Clean a Cloudy Glass Coffee Pot
A cloudy glass coffee pot can ruin your morning java routine and make your pot less attractive to display on your counter. Fortunately, you can restore your glass coffee pot’s shine with simple household products.
Steps
- Mix 1 teaspoon of baking soda in 2 cups of water
Mix the baking soda and water together in the glass pot. Stir until the baking soda is completely dissolved.
- Cloth the baking soda solution inside the pot
Dip a sponge or cloth into the baking soda solution then scrub the inside of the pot with it. Make sure to get into all areas of the pot to remove all of the discoloration and cloudiness.
- Rinse the pot with warm water
Thoroughly rinse the pot with warm water, making sure to remove all of the baking soda.
- Fill the pot with white vinegar
Fill the pot with enough white vinegar to make sure all of the surfaces of the pot are completely submerged. Let the vinegar sit for 10 to 20 minutes. This will help break down any tough stains.
- Rub the inside with a cloth
Scrub the inside of the pot with a cloth. Make sure to get into all the nooks and crannies.
- Rinse the pot with warm water
Thoroughly rinse the pot until all of the vinegar is gone.
- Dry the pot
Gently dry the pot with a paper towel or lint-free cloth.
