How to Clean a Glass Coffee Pot

Cleaning a glass coffee pot is important for ensuring that your coffee tastes great and stays free from unpleasant odors and tastes. Follow this simple guide to keep your glass coffee pot in top condition.

What You’ll Need:

  • White Vinegar – 1 Part white vinegar to 3 Parts hot water
  • Cleanser – A mild dish soap or specialty coffee pot cleaner.

Prepare the Solution

Mix 1 part white vinegar with 3 parts hot water. Measure the water and vinegar carefully and you may double or triple the measurements as necessary.

Clean the Pot with Vinegar Solution

Pour the solution into the coffee pot and swirl it around. Let the mixture sit in the pot for 10-15 minutes. After enough time has passed, pour the solution out and rinse out the pot with cold water.

Clean the Pot with Cleanser

Using a soft cloth or bristled scrub brush, wipe the outside and interior of the pot with a diluted solution of cleanser and warm water. Make sure to scrub away any stains or residues from old coffee. Once the pot is clean, thoroughly rinse with cold water.

Dry the Pot

Make sure to dry the pot completely so as to avoid any water spots and mildew. If possible, dry the pot in the sun, as this will also keep it fresh.

That’s it – your glass coffee pot is now clean and ready to use. Regular and proper cleaning will ensure your coffee pot is always in top condition and that your coffee always tastes fantastic.
