How to Clean a Glass Coffee Carafe

Coffee carafes are an important part of making your perfect cup of coffee. But after a while, they can start to accumulate a build-up of greasy residue and oils, causing your coffee to be less than ideal. Regular cleaning of your carafe is essential for optimal coffee brewing. Here’s how:

What You’ll Need:

  • 2-3 tablespoons of baking soda
  • 2 cups of white vinegar
  • 1 cup of warm water

Instructions:

  1. Mix the baking soda and warm water together to form a paste.
  2. Apply the paste to the inside of the carafe and let it sit for 15-20 minutes.
  3. Add the vinegar to the carafe and fill it up with lukewarm water.
  4. Let the mixture sit for 10-15 minutes.
  5. Rinse the carafe thoroughly and scrub away any remaining residue with a sponge or dish cloth.
  6. Finally, rinse the carafe with clean water and let it dry.

You should now have a clean and sparkling glass coffee carafe that will make incredible coffee! To maintain the cleanliness of your carafe, it’s best to clean it out after each use or, at minimum, every few days.
