How to Clean a Dirty Glass Coffee Pot
Having a reliable, clean coffee pot can be a game changer when it comes to making the perfect cup of coffee. Coffee lovers know that no matter how great the beans are, they won’t make a perfect cup of coffee if the pot is grubby and covered in old coffee grounds. Here is a handy guide to cleaning a glass coffee pot.
Materials Needed
- Baking soda – 1/4 cup
- White vinegar – 1/2 cup
- Sponge – 1 (non-abrasive)
- Brush – 1 (small, non-abrasive)
Instructions
- Mix the baking soda and the white vinegar together in the coffee pot. Do not turn the coffee pot on just yet.
- Scrub the inside of the pot with the sponge or the brush. Be gentle to avoid scratching the inside of the pot.
- Rinse the pot with hot water.
- Fill the pot with clean water and turn it on. Let it run until the water is finished. Discard the water.
- Repeat steps 2 – 4 until the sides of the pot are free of any residue. This will usually take 2-3 times.
- Rinse the pot with clean water, and you’re done!
