How to build an Infinity Coffee Table
An infinity coffee table, sometimes called an infinity mirror table, is a stunning addition to any home. It reflects light, creating a stunning infinity effect. Not only is it a great conversation piece, but it’s also quite easy to create yourself. Read on to learn how to build an infinity coffee table.
Things You’ll Need:
- 2 large pieces of plywood
- A sheet of mirrored glass, cut to size
- Power saw
- A sheet of Plexiglas, cut to size
- Measuring tape
- Wood glue
- Screws
- Finish of your choice (paint, stain, etc.)
Step 1: Measure and Cut Plywood Pieces
Using the measuring tape, measure the length, width, and depth of the desired coffee table. Cut the two pieces of plywood using the power saw, using the measurements as a guide. Ensure the cuts are precise and of equal size.
Step 2: Attach Plywood Pieces
Apply wood glue to the edges of the two pieces of plywood and place them together. Secure the plywood pieces together by screwing them together or using clamps. Let the glue dry completely.
Step 3: Add Mirrored Glass
Center the sheet of mirrored glass carefully on the table and secure it in place with wood glue. Use the clamps or weights to ensure the piece of glass stays in place while it dries. Let the glue dry completely.
Step 4: Finish the Table
Once the glue is dry, add the sheet of Plexiglas directly on top of the mirrored glass. Secure it in place with screws. Finally, finish your infinity coffee table with the color or stain of your choice.
Step 5: Enjoy!
Your infinity coffee table is now complete! Enjoy reflecting the light and admiring your handy work for years to come.
