How to Attach Wooden Legs to a Slab Coffee Table
A slab coffee table is one of the simplest and most stylish furniture pieces to add to your living room, but can look a bit unfinished by itself. To make it look more complete and add some personality you may want to add some legs to it. Here’s some tips on how to attach your legs securely to the table.
What You’ll Need
- Table legs
- Rags
- Sandpaper
- Stain or dye
- Screws of the appropriate size
- Drill
- Polyurethane sealer or wood glue
Step 1: Start Preparations
Once you’ve collected all of your supplies, start by prepping the surface of the table and the legs, making sure to thoroughly sand all of the wood. If desired, stain or dye the wood to the color of your choice.
Step 2: Make Connections
Once the surface is prepped and treated, use the drill to create screw holes in the legs and the underside of the table. Then, attach the legs to the table with the right sized screws. To make a more secure connection, you can use a sealer or wood glue to the drilled holes.
Step 3: Finishing Touches
Once the legs are attached, use a rag to clean up any dust or debris and give the legs a final touch. Your now complete slab coffee table is ready to be moved into the living room.
Happy crafting!
